Within the Jewish settlement in Ein Gedi there is an ancient Synagogue over one thousands and eight hundred years old. It has not yet been completely excavated. The place had to be presented so that the people would understand that the excavated area is part of an entire historical settlement, without damaging its authenticity. We constructed a spatial building in the form of a large tent covering some 400 sqm. With only 4 pillars which incorporated not only the synagogue but also large part of the site – the village. The structure itself is prominent in the area, creating a marker, yet in the same time it is a soft design and character blend in beautifully with the rounding
